Polypropylene is a thermoplastic fiber and is a by-product of petroleum. Polypro belongs to the group of polyolefins. The polypropylene fabric is known for its moisture-wicking property, excellent elastic recovery and abrasion resistance and so is widely used in industrial applications such as geotextiles, ropes, fishnets and other support fabrics. But, polypropylene lags behind its usage in the apparel and home textiles sector.
