Where is jute produced in the world?
Jute is mainly grown in South East Asian countries like India, Bangladesh, China, Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar. With India, Bangladesh and Nepal being the largest producer of jute. About 85% of jute is produced in the region of Ganga which covers the entire Bengal and Bangladesh area.
However, a large amount of jute is exported to the western countries such as the United States and European content from India and Bangladesh.
