What is bamboo fiber?
Bamboo fiber is also called green gold or green fiber that is regenerated from the bamboo plant. It is a cellulosic fiber produced from the raw material of bamboo pulp. It is a biodegradable textile material. Bamboo has the ability to grow rapidly and hence is the second largest resource of forestry. The variety of bamboo used for making fabric is called “Meso”. It is said to reach a height of 75ft in just 45-60 days. But what makes bamboo an efficient fiber is that it does not have many resources for its cultivation such as no or very less pesticides, moderate rainfall and no additional rainfall.
