What is recycled wool?

< All Topics

Recycled wool is spun from wool textile waste. Textile waste is of two types ie. Pre-consumer waste obtained from cutting scraps or any excess yarn production and post-consumer waste obtained through unwanted or discarded garments. Also, the demand for wool started increasing in 1815 and so the very first fabric to be recycled was wool.

Certifications that authenticate the use of recycled wool are Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and SCS Recycled Content Certification.
