What is the chemical composition of jute?

Jute is a lignocellulosic fiber wherein the fibers are arranged in bundles in the vast region of jute plant. The fibers are joined together by hemicellulose and lignin. Jute consists of cellulose (58-63 %), hemicellulose (20-24 %), lignin (12-15 %), and other substances such as fats, oils, waxes (3-4%).
