Pacific Jeans, a leading denim manufacturer based in Chattogram, Bangladesh, has taken a significant step toward sustainable production by installing and commissioning a reXline tearing system from global technology provider Andritz. This marks a major advancement in recycling post-industrial textile waste and creating circular solutions for the fashion industry.

The newly commissioned system enables Pacific Jeans to recycle cutting-stage waste generated during the production of jeans. With a processing capacity of up to 800 kg of fiber per hour, the Andritz reXline transforms large volumes of production waste into high-quality recycled fibers, which are then supplied to the spinning sector. These fibers are used to spin new yarns that ultimately go into the making of fresh denim garments, completing a closed-loop system within the company’s production chain.

By replacing virgin cotton with recycled fibers, Pacific Jeans is not only lowering production costs but also significantly reducing its carbon footprint. This shift supports both economic efficiency and environmental responsibility.
