Biella Yarn introduces yarns with innovative fiber blends

Biella Yarn, the flat knitting brand of Suedwolle Group, has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection titled Reimagined. The new range highlights a renewed approach to yarn development through innovative fibre blends and advanced spinning methods. Created under the theme “And the story goes on…”, the collection reflects the company’s continued focus on responsible practices while supporting contemporary knitwear craftsmanship.

One of the main highlights of the season is GM Morwell Nm 2/30 and 2/48, a balanced blend of 60 percent cotton and 40 percent extrafine Merino wool TEC from the Gammaspun range. This yarn brings together the strength and dry feel of cotton with the softness and flexibility of wool. Natural colour variations within the fibres create gentle mélange effects, adding visual richness to knitted fabrics.

Another new addition is Alisei Nm 2/30 and 2/48 from the Karma-Yarns family, composed of 80 percent extrafine Merino wool and 20 percent GRS-certified recycled wool. This yarn reflects Suedwolle Group’s commitment to circular production, as it uses pre-production waste to create high-quality yarns while reducing the use of new raw materials.

The collection also broadens its range of natural blends with the introduction of Avalon yarns, which combine Merino wool with ramie and linen. These blends are designed to produce light, well-structured knitwear while preserving the comfort and softness typically associated with wool.
