Lenzing x Kaihara
Lenzing Group has partnered with Japanese denim manufacturer Kaihara Corporation to launch the REMOD Collection, showcasing the versatility of TENCEL Lyocell fibres in denim applications. The collection features three fibre variants, TENCEL Lyocell Standard, TENCEL Lyocell – HV100 and TENCEL Lyocell dtex 2.2.
Combining Japanese denim craftsmanship with differentiated fibre properties, the range includes heavyweight men’s jackets, mid-weight wide-leg and stretch jeans, and cotton-free casual shirts. The collection will be presented at Kingpins Amsterdam on October 14–15, 2026, at Lenzing’s booth 19 in the yellow zone.
Each fibre variant contributes distinct characteristics to the collection. TENCEL Lyocell Standard offers softness, fluid drape and colour depth, while HV100 uses Variocut technology to create variations in fibre length, producing a cotton-inspired appearance with a matte, more opaque finish.
TENCEL Lyocell dtex 2.2 features a coarser fibre structure and a 51 mm fibre length, giving fabrics a drier handle, greater body and a natural slub effect reminiscent of linen. These properties allow designers to explore different textures and fabric constructions, including blends with and without cotton, while retaining the visual character of denim.
According to both companies, the REMOD Collection demonstrates how specialised lyocell fibres can expand design possibilities in premium denim by combining authentic aesthetics with softness, structure and comfort. The initiative also highlights Lenzing’s efforts to expand its network of mills working with HV100 and develop new applications for its speciality fibre portfolio.
