ColorDigital
E.dye, the developer of the Waterless and Clean Color System for more sustainable dyeing, with operations in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, has partnered with ColorDigital, a Cologne, Germany-based company that created the DMIx interactive collaboration platform.
The fashion and lifestyle industries can transition from physical to virtual collection development with the real-time digital exchange of designs thanks to DMIx’s seamless digital interaction between brands and suppliers. This is made possible by technology that as closely as possible replicates colors and textures.
DMIx facilitates cooperation with leading design software programs and PLM systems by providing digital twin technology, human avatars, and real-time master data. By managing lab dipping and mass manufacturing and decreasing the enormous amount of samples and prototypes that are often utilized, this method not only cuts costs and time associated with the product development process but also minimizes its environmental impact.
To ensure that its yarns and fabrics precisely match the color requirements with 100% color repeatability, E.dye employs spectral colors.
It is the ideal partner for DMIx due to its zero waste philosophy and emphasis on digital product and color development.
The collaboration will improve the effectiveness of the digital supply chain, the development of sustainable digital products, and complete product transparency. For interested DMIx clients, E.dye will make more than 40,000 smart colors available from its library.
George Yang, founder of e.dye, said that DMIx is a fantastic platform supplied by ColorDigital for garment businesses, as a sustainable tool to develop their goods from colour inspiration to clothes. It’s the ideal tool for expediting design and reducing the need for extra physical samples.
