Riverside adds Sina Pearson into Momentum Textiles platform

The Riverside Company a global private equity firm focused on making control and non-control investments in growing businesses acquired Sina Pearson, contract textile supplier that designs and distributes fabric to architectural and design firms to add-on to its Momentum Textiles platform.

Momentum is a value-added distributor of commercial fabrics for architectural and design firms and commercial furniture manufacturers. Momentum’s product portfolio includes seating, coated, panel, and custom fabrics along with privacy curtains and draperies. Its end markets include office, hospitality, healthcare, and universities.

Sina Pearson founded her namesake company in 1990 and has earned a strong reputation as an innovative designer of boutique artisan products in the high-performance fabrics sector. Sina Pearson also offers high-end natural product lines that include wool and mohair-based fabrics.

Pearson herself has greatly impacted the industry having helped co-found the Association for Contract Textiles in 1985. Additionally, Pearson is one of the original pioneers of sustainable fabrics which are core to Momentum’s design.

Sina Pearson is well known for its exceptional product lines developed over the course of three decades, said Riverside Partner Meranee Phing.

They are pleased to elevate Momentum’s market position as a high-quality textile provider while providing Sina Pearson fabrics with exponentially more exposure thanks to Momentum’s operational excellence and sales and marketing strength.

Momentum will integrate Sina Pearson’s top product lines into its product portfolio and will join efforts to continue designing innovative sustainable products.

Momentum and its customers will immediately benefit from a broad range of inspirational new product offerings, said Phing. Many customers will see these wonderful products for the first time through Momentum’s sophisticated national sales presence.

Momentum President and CEO Roger Arciniega is excited about the talent and vision Pearson will bring to his team. With Momentum Group, Sina Pearson will continue to design many more extraordinary fabrics now unencumbered by the daily task of running a business, said Arciniega. She can focus 100% of her efforts on designing beautiful products for their customers.

The combination will deliver exceptional new product options for customers and many opportunities for Momentum.
