US heated apparel company Ororo has introduced a Bluetooth-enabled heated liner vest that allows wearers to control garment temperature through a smartphone app. Launched on November 3 alongside a companion app for iOS and Android, the vest marks an expansion of the company’s heated clothing range, offering an alternative to conventional physical temperature controls.
The unisex vest features five heating zones positioned across the abdomen, lower back and shoulders. Its quilted construction includes a wind- and water-resistant outer layer, an adjustable waist closure and external battery pockets. Through the app, users can adjust heat settings, monitor battery levels, set timers and track garment usage. An Eco Mode is designed to extend battery runtime, while low-battery alerts notify users when the battery needs charging.
Priced at US$199.99, the vest will be available in unisex sizes XS/S to XL/2XL, with the company stating that both the garment and app would become available in November. Ororo CEO Mark Hu said the app gives customers greater control over heating levels and battery use through features such as customisable settings, Eco Mode and usage tracking.
