Digital print start up Mouvent, headquartered in Switzerland to exhibit at next yearâ€™s TPF digital print exhibition which keeps a close eye on the market trend and technology development, to be held in Shanghai. The company will be demonstrating the TX801 - an 8-color multi-pass digital textile printer producing the highest print quality on textiles with up to 2,000 dpi optical resolution, associated with high printing speeds.
Reto Simmen, CEO Mouvent said that they started to look into textile and found China as one of the biggest market potential, aside India, Italy and Turkey. Considering competitive environment, they have positioned their printer mid-to-high end, which enables crisp, colorful, very high printing quality in a cost-effective way.
Textile market is the next market that is going digital and they have started to set up a network within textile industry. They have established a strong relationship with Paul Yuan in China and experts in other countries.
In China, whatâ€™s happening now has happened in Europe in the past. Now, the production is moving into cheap countries. So the Chinese printer manufacturers have to think about maintaining their business for which they have to come up with new ideas. They have to be fast because everything is looking for digital printing system, which can support them moving their business to next level. There are some strong local brands establishing now in China. The trends are also going to be faster so the printers really have to keep step.
Simmen further added hat with an ink development centre in Switzerland, the company is planning to introduce a double speed machine with 16 heads integrated in the second half 2018, which will double the output. In 2019, they will introduce a single-pass machine. Simmen is convinced that China is a good market.
TPF 2018 organised by UBM China and Sunexpo will be held during 19 to 21 April 2018 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China.
