Dhaka-based trims manufacturer Harnest has expanded its Responsible Trims collection by incorporating recycled polyester and textile-to-textile regenerated polyester, strengthening its commitment to circularity in the apparel industry.
Following the launch of the platform featuring OceanSafe's naNea technology, the company has entered into new partnerships with Indorama Ventures and Ambercycle to bring commercially viable sustainable material solutions into trims and garment components.
Indorama Ventures contributes its large-scale recycled polyester production capabilities, enabling Harnest to integrate commercially available recycled materials into its product portfolio. Meanwhile, Ambercycle's cycora regenerated polyester, produced from end-of-life textile waste through molecular regeneration technology, introduces a next-generation material that supports textile-to-textile circularity.
According to Harnest, the collaboration with Ambercycle extends the use of cycora beyond fabrics into trims and accessories such as sewing threads, elastics, labels, drawcords, and other garment components. This approach aims to promote circularity throughout the entire garment rather than limiting sustainable materials to primary fabrics or capsule collections.
