China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) a Chinese company with its business scope in water conservancy, hydropower, thermal power, and construction projects has shown keen investment interest in Pakistan Textile City. Pakistan Minister of Textile Industry Abbas Khan Afridi would wants to do everything possible to facilitate foreign investment as it ensures development and prosperity of a country. Financial assistance, joint venture and infrastructure development at Pakistan Textile City remained the main focus of the discussion at the meeting between CGGC representatives and Textile Minister. The representatives apprised the minister that CGGC had allocated $15 billion for overseas investment and Pakistan remains the main focus because of its recent economic performance. The CGGC recent investments include Neelum-Jhelum hydroelectric project and Gaddani Power Park. Pakistan Textile City is an industrial zone committed to the textile processing and related industry. It will offer textile industry state of the art environment to achieve cost effective productivity. Currently speedy work is under process at Pakistan Textile City and it will cater for uninterrupted power supply, clean continuous water supply, gas supply and efficient transportation system.
