Soorty, Decode collaborate on sustainable jumpsuit

Pakistani denim manufacturer Soorty has partnered with zero-waste designer Decode to create a modern version of the jumpsuit called TwoTa. The jumpsuit, designed to be uniforms for the April 204 edition of the Kingpins Show, draws inspiration from the work of Italian futurist artist Thayaht, who invented the jumpsuit in 1920 as an inclusive garment.

Together, Soorty and Decode worked to minimize waste at every stage of production, from fabric selection to final manufacturing, showcasing sustainable practices.

Crafted from Soorty’s popular denim fabric, Splash ZWW, the jumpsuit is made from a blend of organic and recycled cotton. Soorty’s Zero Waste Water technology was used for dyeing and finishing, reducing water usage by 90 percent compared to traditional methods.

The jumpsuit, made from lightweight and breathable fabric, offers comfort all day long and features a vibrant blue color inspired by Thayaht’s vision. Created with a zero-waste pattern by Decode specifically for TwoTa, the pattern is being shared openly to encourage more sustainable designs.
