YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2022-06-09 17:30:57 – United Kingdom

UK-based baby clothing rental, company Bundlee, has partnered with eco shoe brand Vivobarefoot to offer a baby and toddler shoe rental service.

Clothing rental service for babies and children Bundlee now offers a kids footwear rental option in partnership with Vivobarefoot, a natural B-corp brand, in order to give parents with a long-term answer to their children outgrowing six shoe sizes in a year.

According to Bundlee, the average young kid requires new shoes every four months, and that this is a quick and costly replacement cycle, with the majority of products ending up in garbage at the end of their useful lives.

company’s founder Eve Kekeh, said that shoes are generally the most costly and quickly outgrown commodity you can buy for a child. That's why he had always wanted to include shoes to their rental platform. With Bundlee's community growing at an exponential rate, it seemed like a fantastic moment to introduce this new category, and Vivobarefoot's dedication to circularity and caring for children's feet, it felt like the appropriate partner.

Vivobarefoot’s head of kids, Bayarma Clark, said that their footwear is meant to let the foot do what it does best, allowing youngsters to connect to the world around them via their feet. Their collaboration with Bundlee is another step in ensuring that their goods have a beneficial impact on people while having a low environmental impact.

Bundlee's UK-based rental business is supposed to offer a simple, cost-effective, and circular solution for extending the life of shoes and apparel while also lowering the quantity of waste transported to overburdened landfills.

Customers are enjoying the fashion rental movement, according to the firm, so it's just a matter of time before renting children's clothes and shoes becomes the standard. Furthermore, any shoes that are no longer acceptable for rental on Bundlee will be returned to Vivobarefoot's resale platform, ReVivo, in London, to be fixed and resold.

The ReVivo initiative was initially launched by Vivobarefoot in 2020 as a strategy to enhance its circular economy concept. The Boot Repair Company repairs, refurbishes, and resells returned shoes for the brand, with any materials not utilized in the repair process being recycled.

Bundlee's kids rental service also includes Patagonia, MORI, Little Riley Studio, and Mini Rodini, as well as Bundlee Originals, which are basic designs produced from Oeko-Tex cotton and offered at a lower price than premium labels.

Bundlee's rental subscription starts at GBP39 a month for 15 pieces, and the company claims that clients can save 86 percent on CO2 emissions and 96 percent on water when compared to buying clothes.
