Coachtopia collaborates with designers to revamp Ergo Bag

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2024-05-02 16:24:46 – United Kingdom

Coachtopia has partnered with upcycle designers worldwide to give a fresh look to its popular Ergo bag, highlighting sustainability through creativity. Inspired by a 1990s Coach design, the Coachtopia Ergo bag is now made from at least 40 percent recycled or repurposed materials, available in various colors. Designers Anna Molinari, Tade Kayode-Newman, and Zizi Zeng have each added their unique textural touches to this classic style.

Tade Kayode-Newman, based in the UK, adorned the Crinkle Patent leather Ergo bag with spikes made from 100 percent recycled PET plastic. Anna Molinari from NYC embellished Coachtopia’s leather Ergo bag with gunmetal grommets. Zizi Zeng, a Chinese NYC-based fashion blogger, decorated the Crinkle Patent Ergo bag with white lace bows.

Coach also collaborated with Sabrina Lau, a NYC-based graphic designer, to create a new bow graphic for Coachtopia’s recycled cotton Ts, featuring a relaxed, boxy silhouette, all crafted from recycled cotton.

This launch follows Coachtopia’s third “Lighter Bags, Brighter Futures” campaign featuring actress Ariana Greenblatt. Greenblatt showcased sustainably crafted clothing and handbags from Coachtopia’s Loop collection, made from 98 percent recycled PET plastic, with designs that can be recycled for future projects through the brand’s repurposing program.
