YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2026-09-16 13:44:49 – USA

Arclin, a materials science company, has exhibited at the National Safety Council (NSC) Safety Congress & Expo 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, showcasing personal protection solutions made with Nomex and Kevlar technologies.

Nomex Xtreme Arc (NXA) is a next-generation flame-resistant fabric designed for utility and electrical applications. It helps protect workers from arc flash and flash fire hazards. Another technology showcased was ArmorCell, which is used in Nomex Xtreme Arc. When exposed to heat, it forms insulating air pockets that help slow the transfer of heat and reduce the severity of burns.

The company has also exhibited Nomex and Kevlar personal protection solutions to help protect workers from heat, flame and arc flash hazards in demanding industrial environments. It also included a high-performance fibre technology used in protective equipment and clothing. It is designed to address cut and other workplace hazards while providing durable protection.

Trey Roy, Arclin’s North American Market Leader for Personal Protection, said that protecting workers in demanding environments requires continuous development of materials and their performance. He added that Nomex and Kevlar have protected workers for generations, while Arclin is building on this experience with new technologies designed to meet the changing needs of today’s workforce.
