Nylon yarn market remains ranged bound in China

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices fell US cents 2 a kg in the fourth week of June while FDY40D were flat on the week. Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices were unchanged while 30D/10F were stable during the week. Nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices rolled over while monofilament 30D prices were steady on the week.

Nylon filament yarn prices rolled over on the back of flat nylon chip and caprolactum cost, with low‐end goods still available. Producers attempting to hike prices met with resistance.

Caprolactum market sees mixed prices in Asia

Asian markers, the SE and FE declined US$10-40 a ton in the fourth week of June. In China, offers for liquid spot rose US$25 a ton while solid goods offers were up US$40 a ton on the week.

Caprolactum markets were mixed that week as prices firmed in China on the back of range‐bound raw material, while they were subdued in other markets due to weak demand. Both, Sinopec and Fibrant raised their nominations for June, pushed by existing losses.

Indian Cotton Association Limited (ICAL) an apex trade body has stressed on the need for certain sops to sustain the cotton industry as there is considerable drop in the area under cotton crop in Punjab this season which has impacted the traders, ginners and exporters.

The cotton traders calling the policies of the state government unsupportive have demanded scrapping of the minimum monthly electricity charges for ginning industry, rationalization of tax structure with the neighbouring states and supply of power to spinning industry at lower rates.

Turkey is really good producer, and Russia a very good consumer, the two countries have been partners for nearly 25 years. Textile Secretary Rashmi Verma at a Texprcial event in Mumbai, said that the draft textile policy will be soon placed before the Cabinet and the home textile sector can also look forward to a package similar to what is extended to the apparel sector.
