Indorama Ventures’ majority-owned Lake Charles, La., gas cracker has received an air permit from U.S authorities signifying an important step forward in maintaining the plant’s startup schedule that will produce ethylene from shale gas.

The air permit, which is the main environmental permit required by the company in order to proceed with refurbishment of the cracker, allows the project to commence the repair and construction activities at the site a month ahead of the original target date.

An international textile fair called the “Preview in Seoul 2016” hosted by the Korea Federation of Textile Industries kicked off in Seoul today to set the stage for trade between global textile and fashion companies and introduce the latest industry trends.

The textile fair brings 374 textile and fashion companies from 11 nations. It also attracted about 1,000 overseas buyers from popular fashion brands, including DKNY, Coach and J Crew.

Textile firm Indo Count Retail Ventures Ltd (ICRVL) a subsidiary of Mumbai based textile manufacturer and exporter Indo Count Industries (ICIL), are looking at Rs 500 crore turnover from the domestic market in five years time after they have established their brand Boutique Living. At present, their entire turnover comes from exports, said ICRVL Managing Director Asim Dalal.

Boutique Living products are expected to be in market by the first week of September. Boutique Living product range starts from Rs 2,000 per bedsheet set and goes up to Rs 8,000 for a premium category.
