She has styled celebrities like Virat Kohli, Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif and Sushmita Sen.

She added that they have some of the best cottons, khadi and organic fabrics available at their disposal. The main issue is the processes tend to be very expensive. But soon enough, they should be able to find a balance and do their part.

Noman Group, Bangladeshi textile and garment manufacturing company to meet the growing demand from Western buyers is set for a massive expansion plan. For now, the group is investing Tk 1,300 crore to establish a state-of-the-art spinning mill named Nice Spun Mills on 110 bighas of land at Maona in Gazipur. It will meet the demand for yarns and fabrics of its garment manufacturing units.

The Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) has been urged to undertake comprehensive reform to develop its production and business. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s message was conveyed on June 20 to Vinatex by a working group led by Government Office Chairman Mai Tien Dung.

Dung, speaking at a working session with the group in Hanoi, said that Vinatex had undergone many reforms and achieved developments in technology, management and jobs for 80,000 workers. However, the group had been experiencing difficulties in the export market since 2016.

Asian MEG prices jumped US$32 a ton CFR China and CFR South East Asia in the first week of June. In China, offers for nearby-month cargoes surged amid moderate transaction.

Mono ethylene glycol prices soared in Asian markets, rising day on day through the week as sentiment turned bullish with Chinese government increasing money supply in the market. Downstream demand from polyester manufacturers was also healthy.

Asian paraxylene prices inched up US$2 a ton CFR Taiwan/China in the first week of June. Isomer-grade mixed xylene prices were however, down US$10 a ton FOB Korea on the week.

Paraxylene prices inched up on the week in Asian markets despite dipping weekend on weaker upstream and low crude oil values. Supply and demand fundamental were also weak, and the inventories stayed at high level. Although there are maintenance plans for some units, the market will basically remain weak provided there is improvement in feedstock in a short term.

Pakistan’s textile and clothing exports witnessed decline during the July-May period of 2016-17, as per data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday. The decline in export proceeds was evident in rupee terms. Overall export proceeds in July-May were down 3.13pc to $18.540bn.

During the first 11 months of the current fiscal year textile and clothing exports decline 1.98 percent year-on-year to $11.24 mainly due to lower proceeds from raw material and low value-added products, such as cotton yarn and fabrics.
