Zeneri launches patented sock technology to prevent slippage

Bulgarian premium menswear sock brand Zeneri has begun commercial production of a new collection featuring its patented three-zone knitted architecture, designed to prevent socks from slipping down the leg while maintaining comfort and breathability.

Protected by European Patent EP3998888, the technology is the result of five years of research, prototyping and testing. Instead of relying on a tight elastic welt or silicone grip bands, Zeneri distributes support across three knitted zones, creating graduated compression along the leg and a dedicated stability zone around the ankle.

The ankle zone is central to the construction, helping maintain the sock’s position through the knitted architecture itself. This allows the company to achieve retention without additional grip finishes.

Zeneri has also developed the construction with wearer comfort in mind. Elastic fibres are enclosed within the cotton yarn rather than sitting directly against the skin, while the graduated compression is designed to maintain shape without creating excessive pressure. Materials that come into direct contact with the leg are laboratory tested before production, and the socks feature hand-linked toes for additional comfort.

The new collection consists of three ranges based on the same patented construction. The formal line follows traditional business-dress conventions, while a heritage range incorporates Bulgarian textile motifs. A third collection uses more contemporary, pattern-focused designs.
