Yarn Expo Spring 2016 to begin from next Wednesday in Shanghai

Yarn Expo Spring 2016 a leading sourcing platform to both exhibitors and visitors is set up to begin from next Wednesday. The show is also an ideal opportunity for overseas buyers to gain access to some of the leading domestic suppliers in the industry. Yarn Expo Spring showcases a wide spectrum of natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool, flax / regenerated flax, silk, and man-made fibres and yarns, as well as specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns.

Over 300 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions, including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and Uzbekistan are gearing up to present their products at Asia’s leading fibre and yarn trade event.

The fair is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; China Cotton Textile Association; China Wool Textile Association; China Chemical Fiber Association; China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association; and China Textile Information Centre.

Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, as the fair organizer said that they are pleased to witness the positive signs in the industry and to see the fair growing in tandem with it. They believe, with the growth in the fair this year, both exhibitors and buyers will have a very rewarding experience.

Yarn Expo is well known in the industry as a hub for global suppliers, and is becoming more diverse due to the increasing involvement of worldwide suppliers. The fair’s regular participant, the India Pavilion, is returning with 50 exhibitors to offer an all-encompassing range of high quality cotton yarns. Some of its well-known members include Acme International, GTN Group, Kikani Exports, Lahoti Overseas, Loyal Textil Mills Ltd, Nagreeka Exports Ltd, NSL Textiles Ltd and T T Ltd.

Mr Ravindranathan Narayanasamy, Joint Director of the pavilion organiser TEXPROCIL, introduces the highlights this year: The Indian exhibitors will bring open end yarns from 6s to 21s; ring spun cotton yarns from 10s to 60s count in addition to core spun and compact yarns. He further added that yarns of different strength and specifications to suit various end uses, such as towel manufacturing, knitting, weaving and specialty products manufacturing will be on display too.

Furthermore, the Pakistan Zone and exhibitors from Uzbekistan will feature various competitively priced cotton yarns to widen the sourcing options, while exhibitors from Indonesia, Korea, Thailand and others are highlighting cutting edge synthetic yarns. What’s more, the leading yarn and fibre manufacturer Birla Jingwei Fibres also joins the fair to showcase its key innovative and eco products lines: Birla Modal and Birla Spunshades.

Four revamped special zones – Natural Cotton Yarn Zone, Green Energy Zone, Science and Technology Zone and Dynamic Lifestyle Zone – are hosting over 150 domestic exhibitors to demonstrate the latest innovative synthetic yarns. Alongside these special zones is the debut Fancy Yarn Zone, where the newest fancy yarns can be found from nearly 15 companies. Abtex International is also displaying fancy yarns in blends of cotton and polyesters in the Pakistan Zone.

Trend Area and seminar programme inspire fair participants by providing full complement of market information

Besides providing an extensive trading platform, Yarn Expo also offers unique opportunities for fair participants to be inspired through the Trend Area as well as to learn from a series of informative seminars.

Together with Yarn Expo Spring 2016, four other textile trade fairs are held concurrently from 16 – 18 March: Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics –
Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, PH Value and the China International Fashion Fair (CHIC).

With both spring and autumn editions in Shanghai, the show provides an excellent opportunity for overseas suppliers to build stronger relationships in the region and increase their presence in the market.

Yarn Expo Spring 2016 will be held from 16 – 18 March in hall 5.1 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center, with a 40% expansion in the exhibition area.
