The State government, which will project the hub before potential investors, expects a windfall of investment as it is located just 180 km away from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad.

Also, a new national highway passing through the hub makes it easy for the transport of finished goods and raw material and there is a rail line close to it too.

Mr. Chowka said that as many as 26 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) had been allotted one acre each or less in the 60 acres earmarked for MSME units.

He said that KIADB had initiated steps to meet the water and power requirement of the industrial units coming up in the industrial hub and 13 acres had been set aside for Karnataka Power Transmission Company Ltd. to install their 220kV and 110 kV power stations. Permission had been obtained for lifting 25 million litres of water a day from Joladadgi-Gudur Barrage across the Bhima.
