Universal Fibers has announced its support for Circular Building Solutions’ adhesive-free and reversible fixing technologies. The partnership aims to showcase the importance of a complete, system-wide approach in helping flooring manufacturers improve the circularity and sustainability of their products.

Universal Fibers introduced Thrive matter yarn, the world’s first carbon-negative recycled yarn, which is made from 100% solution-dyed nylon 6 resin and contains 90% total recycled content. It also has the industry’s lowest carbon footprint.

Circular Building Solutions complements this innovation by offering non-adhesive, detachable installation systems. These systems allow floor coverings to stay firmly in place during use but can be easily removed at the end of their life for reuse or recycling. This supports circular design, reduces waste, and preserves the condition of the sub-floor.
