The Lycra Company debuts Lycra® Dual Comfort technology for ready-to-wear & wovens

The Lycra Company, a global pioneer in the development of innovative fiber and technology solutions for the textile and garment industries, announced the debut of Lycra® Dual Comfort technology for ready-to-wear (RTW) and wovens. The company’s most recent innovation will aid in the transformation of these clothing categories by combining functional performance benefits with the sustainable features that today’s consumers seek.

In new Lycra Dual Comfort yarns, functional performance benefits are paired with sustainable qualities to deliver comfortable stretch and cooling comfort with long-lasting shape retention in garments.

The new yarn’s key component is Lycra® T400® A EcoMade fiber, which is made from recycled and renewable raw materials in a proprietary technique to offer the texture and look of a spun yarn, allowing the creation of low-impact, comfortable, and adaptable clothes with thermal comfort.

The new yarn is thought to be excellent for the rising ‘new utility’ trend, which combines tough performance with tailored elegance to meet the needs of cross-segment apparel categories – workleisure or outleisure.

Ebru Ozaydin, strategic marketing director at The Lycra Company, said that now that they’ve experienced all-day comfort, they anticipate adaptable garments produced from sustainable fabrics that give them the flexibility to enjoy a relaxed, comfortable lifestyle. The terms ‘new utility’ and ‘lightweight clothes’ have become buzzwords for characterizing lightweight attire that combines everyday usefulness and urban elegance with low-impact materials.
