Textile Arabia aims to upgrade textile sector

Textile Arabia, the international trade show is being organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) with 120 international exhibitors and experts from textile industry. This premiere global event offers unlimited scope for exhibitors to enter into joint venture partnerships with national and international partners from around the world. All keen to do business in the Kingdom and to take advantage of the favorable 5% tariffs on textiles

The 6-day exhibition is staged at the most opportune time when the Kingdom is actively investing to modernize and upgrade the textile sector to ensure the production of better quality products, machinery and services to meet the increasing demand

Mohiuddin Hakami, assistant secretary general at the JCCI in a press conference on Monday, said that this exhibition will help in the development of the fashion and textile industry which has investments reaching up to SR10 billion. The exhibition is aimed to enhance the international investment in the sector, rehabilitation of youth in the sector with the help of the textile and fashion committee at JCCI, develop the local industry and join the developed countries in this sector.

The event will host an exclusive selection of designers and people interested in the fashion industry at every level. Everyone related to the sector is expected to be present from local merchants, manufacturers and fashion designers. It will also provide an excellent opportunity for those Saudi women are very interested to entry the fashion and textile industry. Also, the readymade clothes are a good option for productive families and medium and small enterprises to develop their business.

The aim of this exhibition is to introduce the techniques and modern production methods that are used internationally and to boost the national industry by opening doors for new job opportunities for the youth in this sector and enhance their competitiveness in the garments’ sector.

The exhibition also aims to encourage an exchange of expertise, experiences and transfer of knowledge through a series of workshops that will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition with specialized experts from Germany, France, Japan and the United States. It is expected that there will be information on the latest developments, techniques, machineries and specialized equipment in the fashion and textile industry.

The exhibition is held at the perfect location. Jeddah is the Kingdom’s commercial capital and a major business centre for textiles. For centuries, textiles have been traded in Jeddah and now produced in the region as an ongoing tradition. Textiles Arabia will focus on the immense market potential as a comprehensive event representing all areas of the transport, import / export and manufacturing cycle.

The exhibition of apparel, clothes, latest machinery and technology from Germany, Italy, France, Pakistan and other countries will kick off in Jeddah from March 25 at the Jeddah International Center for forums and events.
