Texon- Ecostrobe
Texon launched Ecostrobe, the company’s first insole made entirely of recycled materials. Ecostrobe offers game-changing possibilities for footwear designers who want to integrate sustainability into strobel applications without compromising strength and performance. It is made using recycled PET and unique fusion-bonding technology that completely eliminates the need for chemicals or water.
Ecostrobe, which will be unveiled at Lineapelle in Milan from September 20–22, is a high-performance insole material that can be used in sports, casual, and outdoor shoes. This revolutionary product is designed to have minimal impact on the planet – while still providing all the essential physical characteristics of a premium insole material.
The high moisture absorption and dispersion properties of Ecostrobe make it sturdy and long-lasting. In comparison to similar items, Ecostrobe is 20% lighter and uses 50% less energy during production.
Boyd Mulder, Group NPDI, Sustainability and Marketing Director at Texon, said that they continue to work hard to safeguard the environment, creating now, to sustain tomorrow, via product innovation and careful process management. As industry pioneers in environmentally friendly materials, they have modified their production procedures to guarantee the recycled content and recyclability of their goods as part of their sustainability plan. Ecostrobe is proof of that dedication. According to their calculations, Ecostrobe will prevent more than 2.1 million bottles from ending up in landfills for every million pairs of shoes that contain it, making Ecostrobe the ultimate enviro-conscious choice for strobel applications.
With the cutting waste being 100% recyclable into more of the same product without sacrificing quality, Ecostrobe is also 100% closed-loop.
