Lenzing launches TENCEL Lyocell HV100 in China

Lenzing Group has introduced its latest innovation, TENCEL™ Lyocell HV100, to the China market at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, Spring Edition. While it first gained attention in denim, its use is now extending to fabrics such as chinos and shirting. Mills in China are playing a key role in developing and introducing these new applications.

TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 maintains the same environmental benefits as the wider LENZING™ Lyocell fiber range. It has been developed to create fabrics that look and feel similar to natural fibrer while maintaining the softness and sustainability associated with TENCEL™. Using Variocut technology, the fiber is produced with controlled variations in length, which creates a slightly uneven texture and a matte finish, giving fabrics a more natural appearance.

Mills testing the fiber have reported that it works well with standard spinning and weaving processes. Designers can also adjust the texture by changing fiber blends, allowing flexibility in fabric construction.

The launch of TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 in China marks the next stage of development for the fibre. It is expected to support higher-value products, wider applications, and stronger collaboration across the textile value chain. Lenzing Group has also invited industry partners to explore this new fibre along with its broader portfolio through its digital platform, Lenzing Pro.
