SWE-S Group, the parent company of Swedish Stockings, has launched Treadfine, a new B2B sustainable hosiery production business. Officially introduced in late 2024, Treadfine aims to replace traditional, short-lived nylon hosiery with more durable and responsibly made alternatives.
Treadfine builds on SWE-S’s expertise in eco-friendly hosiery manufacturing, offering businesses a better alternative to single-use nylon products. The initiative is designed to scale up sustainability in hosiery, providing brands access to ethical production practices.
SWE-S CEO Linn Frisinger compares hosiery to "the plastic straw of the fashion industry," emphasizing the urgent need for change. To support this transition, Treadfine invites brands to utilize SWE-S’s Italian production facilities.
Treadfine has already partnered with Swedish retail chain MQ, marking a significant step towards a more sustainable fashion sector. Additionally, brands working with Treadfine gain access to the Swedish Stockings Recycling Club, which collects used hosiery from any brand and repurposes the fibres into longer-lasting products like furniture.
