It has its own range of Hosiery and Innerwear products under brand name of `SHERA’. The Company wishes to set up production unit in the state of Bihar, seeing the present scenario in Bihar which provides opportunities for industrialist.

In 1969, Vishwanath Choudhary, a native of Bihar set up the firm with about 10 people to undertake job work, which means it used to produce goods on behalf of other firms. In 2010, the firm was constituted into a private limited company and named it Shera Hosiery. Now, more than a thousand people are working with them.

In terms of textile industry, as Kolkata and Tirupur provide skilled and economical labour. The two production units were set up there. But if they get support from the government, they definitely want to come to Bihar as Ajay Kumar Chaudhary, son of Vishwanth Choudhary who presently runs the company is a native of Bihar.

According to him, Bihar is an important market for their products. Everything has changed a lot in Bihar. Now there are better roads, electricity and other infrastructure required for setting up an industry. The best thing is that law and order of Bihar has taken a very positive turn. If they set up their unit in Bihar they would save a huge amount which goes in transportation and in a way contribute to his native state. The way Nitish Kumar is providing support to food processing industry in the state; they have expectations from him for their industry too.

The Company deals in hosiery and innerwear products for men and women such as socks, leggings, gym vests, bermuda and warm thermalwear. Now, they are planning to launch mercerized vests which, though a little expensive, are of very good quality and comfortable. They would be launching it in market soon.

They products are is very popular and known name in all over India, especially in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Delhi-NCR, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. They have also started supplies to Nepal in 2014. Their next plan is to cover the whole of India.

As the on online marketing is increasing with every passing day and has taken away a big chunk of business from brick and mortar firms. But, in case of innerwear, it is not the case. People still prefer to see the texture before buying. Also, products like socks, gym vests and leggings are available at a lower rate in market. But seeing the trend of online shopping, they are planning to sell their products online and have also started working on it and would be starting their online sales in April 2016. They are exploring the possibility of tying up with Snapdeal.
