The Sartirana Textile Show has been the most important antique rug fair in Europe in the last decade. The 10th edition of the annual Sartirana Textile Show, organized by Alberto Boralevi, will be held at La Pila in Sartirana, Lomellina, Italy.
This year’s exhibitors include esteemed Italian and international antique rug and textile dealers. Edoardo Marino, Apadana Gallery, Galerie Emir, Caesar Shepherd Rug Gallery, Augusto Rillosi, Galerie Arabesque, Anatolian/Ufuklar Halicilik, Alberto Boralevi, Seltene Orientteppiche, Kamoo Gallery, Chanteh by Kami, Igor Honkanen, Mollaian, Memarian, David Sorgato, Zamani, and Serkan Sari will all exhibit their treasures at this year’s show. Carpet Collector will also have a stand.
This year’s show includes 3 extra exhibtions ‘Antique Peasant Rugs from Sardinia, Abruzzi and other Areas of Southern Italy’, ‘Design rugs signed MEMPHIS’ and David Sorgato’s ‘Bouchorouite’. The informal talks will treat topics like Italian rugs, sofrehs, and kilims.
A visit to Sartirana Textile Show can be combined with the pre-ICOC study tour to Lombardia organized by Stefano Ionescu 10-15 September 2014. This is the final call for the Tour to Lombardia which also includes a visit to the Sartirana Textile Show and preludes ICOC 2014.
Though the venue is located in a small town in the countryside, The opening reception will take place Wednesday 10 September at 6.00 pm – 10.00 pm. Opening hours Thursday 11.00am–8.00pm, Friday 10.00am–8.00pm, Saturday 10.00am–10.00pm and Sunday 14 September 10am–7 0.00 pm.
