prAna set its goals on expansion in Europe

prAna, a leading lifestyle clothing company based in Carlsbad, California offers sustainable clothes for active and every day wear, has had a strong following in the European climbing and yoga communities for more than 20 years. With its broad range of lifestyle, swim, and active apparel, prAna now has its goals set on expansion in Europe with an enhanced distribution network and new international sales team.

The company will also exhibit its latest Spring 2016 collection at the Friedrichshafen tradeshow this month, where prAna executives, representatives and brand ambassador Chris Sharma will be available for questions.

In 1993, prAna started with apparel catering to the clothing needs of yogis and climbers. As its appeal grew, prAna remained committed to weaving sustainable practices into its operations and supply chains.

For prAna sustainability means not only recycling and using organic and natural fibres, but also working to constantly improve its practices from start to finish of the production. prAna was one of the first US bluesign system partners, offering complete bluesign certified garments. It was also one of the first major apparel makers to offer Fair Trade Certified clothing.

prAna has a rich history in the European marketplace, with solid roots in the climbing and yoga communities, said Sasha Dietschi-Cooper, VP of Global Sales. They are committed to expanding the brand’s reach in Europe as an outdoor lifestyle brand.

Part of the portfolio of brands owned by Columbia Sportswear Company (COLM), prAna is investing in its international distribution network and has brought on an experience European sales team.
