Polartec and Browzwear releases 3D digital solution

Polartec®, a Milliken & Company brand, is partnering with Browzwear, a producer of 3D digital solutions for the fashion sector, to enable digital design and development using Polartec’s performance fabric portfolio. The Browzwear VStitcher 2021.2 Edition now has a Polartec fabric library, with other fabric technologies to be included in future revisions.

Utilizing advanced information to precisely depict the fabric’s texture, drape, and movement in true-to-life 3D, designers using Browzwear will be able to preview and develop with Polartec fabric technology.

Browzwear’s true-to-life 3D representations can be used in the sales process, enabling data-driven manufacturing and eliminating overproduction, in addition to the high level of accuracy that removes the need for garment samples.

The key to a successful digital product lifecycle is Browzwear’s 3D solutions for apparel design, development, and merchandising. The system, which is used by over 650 companies including Polartec customers Patagonia, Nike, Adidas, Burton, and VF Corporation, accelerates collection development by providing endless options to generate style iterations.

From next-to-skin technologies like Delta and Power Wool to insulation technologies like Polartec 200 series fleece, Alpha, Thermal Pro, and Power Air, the first rollout will offer fourteen different Polartec textiles in various color palettes. Polartec fabric technologies are also accessible as U3M files for usage on various digital design platforms at www.polartec.com.

David Karstad, Polartec VP of marketing and creative director, said that Browzwear not only increases the efficiency and sustainability of employing Polartec materials, but the 3D platform also allows designers to unleash their full creative potential.
