DSC launches Morph for customisable footwear materials

Foam specialist DSC has introduced Morph, a configurable materials platform that combines its open- and closed-cell foams with textiles, films and other functional surface layers for footwear and performance applications.

The platform allows brands to choose from more than 100 fabric and colour options while also adjusting foam density, thickness and perforation. This makes it possible to develop molded components, sheet materials and integrated footwear constructions based on specific performance and design needs.

At the centre of Morph are DSC’s Dreamcell open-cell and Durapontex closed-cell foam technologies. These foams can be combined with different surface and base materials to provide functions such as cushioning, breathability, durability and impact protection.
