Carnegie introduces plant-based aperture embroider textile

Carnegie, a supplier of sustainable textiles and acoustic solutions for commercial spaces, has introduced Aperture Embroider, a new textile design from its Crush Collection. The latest addition to Carnegie’s Biobased Xorel range is made using renewable materials and contains 91% plant-based content. It offers the durability, easy cleaning and finish-free construction associated with Biobased Xorel.

Aperture Embroider adds a sense of movement and light to Biobased Xorel through fine radial embroidery that creates a spark-like pattern across the surface. The stitched details add depth and texture, while the open base gives the textile a light and versatile appearance.

As part of the Crush Collection, the design joins a range of fabrics developed for designers who work strongly with colour. The collection includes bold graphics, soft velvets and expressive floral designs, reflecting Carnegie’s move toward a brighter and more colourful look while continuing its focus on responsible materials. The textile is free from antimicrobials, ozone-depleting chemicals, PFAS, PVC and Red List chemicals.
