Pincroft installs Baldwin’s TexCoat G4 technology

Pincroft, a textile dyer, printer, and finisher situated in Adlington, UK, has embraced Baldwin’s TexCoat G4 technology.

The TexCoat G4 is a precision spray machine designed and made in Europe that not only uses less water, chemicals, and energy but also has the adaptability to accommodate single- and double-sided finishing applications depending on the needs of the customer.

With no waste or color changes and no longer needing to replace their padding units on a regular basis, the new machine will enable Pincroft to save up to 20% of the finishing chemistry they use. The increased chemical concentration also results in a 50% reduction in water consumption. Due to the higher line speed made possible by the higher line speed and reduced wet pick up, productivity is also boosted by 50%.

The Texcoat G4 significantly reduces energy usage by using the stenter more effectively due to a higher line speed. Additionally, the machine uses less than 10% of a padder’s electric power.

Precision valve technology and optimized software algorithms are used in the non-contact textile finishing equipment to ensure accurate and even finishing coverage with almost little waste. Vector protection (permethrin), antibacterial, wrinkle resistance, water repellency, stain and filth release, and flame retardancy are just a few of the fabric finishes that the Texcoat G4 can be used for.

Pincroft’s technical manager Ian Rawcliffe, said that the acquisition of this new precision spray equipment reflects their dedication to the environment, clients, and the investment in their facilities to be at the forefront of the latest advancements the market has to offer. Customers can be confident that their fabrics are being treated to the highest standards while minimizing their environmental effect by using the TexCoat G4 system.

Rick Stanford, Baldwin’s vice president of international business development, said that they worked with Ian and Pincroft for many years before to joining Baldwin. The business is recognized for seeking out the most cutting-edge technology, and the TexCoat G4’s evaluation and implementation were no exception.
