NPG & Proklean Technologies join Netherlands’ ZDHC Foundation

Contributors The ZDHC Foundation and its Roadmap to Zero Program have welcomed Nordstrom Product Group (NPG) and Proklean Technologies. Customer favorites like Zella, BP., Treasure & Bond, and Open Edit are part of Nordstrom’s customer-centric brand portfolio of 12 Nordstrom Made brands that span apparel, accessories, shoes, and home items.

Nordstrom can directly influence changes in change in working conditions and environmental sustainability in the industry through these private label brands. Nordstrom understands that customers want to feel good about the things they buy, which is why all Nordstrom Made brands have set goals to help form a positive, inclusive, and sustainable future.

The business plans to employ sustainably sourced raw materials for 50% of Nordstrom Made items made largely of cotton, polyester, or cellulosic fabrics by 2025, as well as provide factory traceability for 90% of Nordstrom Made products, according to a news statement.

Proklean Technologies, established in Chennai, India, provides the industry with ground-breaking green chemistry-based solutions. Proklean aims to shatter the idea that green products don’t deliver by providing high-performing, environmentally friendly solutions. Sustainability is not a strategy at Proklean; it is ingrained in the company’s DNA. Proklean aspires to make the world a better place for future generations, and it plans to do so by developing sustainable products and encouraging its consumers to do the same. Proklean hopes to have a larger impact on the industry with its efforts and ideology by joining the ZDHC Foundation’s Roadmap to Zero Program.

Karun Tyagi, head of the strategic business unit, Textiles & EHS, said that Proklean’s goal is to assist users in conserving natural resources and reducing pollution. They hope that by joining the ZDHC community, they will be able to contribute to a better tomorrow.

Angela Rhea, director of NPG social responsibility and sustainability, said that they understand how important it is to safeguard the environment and do their part to reduce their influence. They are glad for their relationship with an industry leader like ZHDC since meaningful growth is impossible without it. They’re excited to put the ZDHC Program, platforms, and solutions in place to reduce and remediate the effects of hazardous chemicals in our Nordstrom Made items.
