New fabric trends by Pindler

Capitalise on coral – Pantone named Living Coral the 2019 colour of the year. Typically seen as an accent or pop of colour, coral is taking the centre stage as a catalyst for design. With its vivid warm tones, it brightens rooms with its vibrant hues and pairs beautifully with all neutrals and warm and cool colours. Deep in the evergreens – Earthy, calming, dark shades of green are on the rise in the design market. In hues ranging from natural pine to jewel-like emeralds, green is making a big comeback. The key to this trend is the cast, which is leaning toward blue. Often used as a dramatic focal point, these dark greens are also being applied as an overall room scheme.

Must have mink – While the days of cool grey tones are fading, warmer neutrals are emerging such as the colour mink. A warmer approach to grey, Mink harmonises well with neutrals and colours and truly transforms its cast depending on what it’s paired with.

Devil’s in the details – A more decorative time is upon us, with the use of elaborate trims, embellishments, motifs and handcrafted textiles. Not only are these elements being used as a focal point, but they’re also being layered to create a warm, detailed space full of character. Every unique detail and curated accessory tells a story and sparks conversation. Colours within this trend swing from livable neutrals and traditional tones to bold and eccentric statement hues.

Turn toward traditional – The world of design is swinging back towards a more traditional aesthetic. Designers are being introduced to classic motifs and design techniques for the first time. From chintz prints and timeless tartans to stripes and small ditzys, these traditional patterns along with a fresh take on color make these classic designs feel new again.

Fresh colours, detailed embellishments, and timeless designs – these emerging trends aim to add more vibrancy in 2019, according to Pindler, an industry leader and international wholesaler of decorative fabrics. The company shares five trends that are emerging in the design market.

Pindler provides an ever-expanding product assortment to the professional interior designer, with 71 years in business and by sourcing fabrics from all over the world.
