LYCRA, Advance Denim introduce new stretch technology for better fit

To address the challenge of finding well-fitting denim and meet consumer demand, The LYCRA Company has developed FitSense® Denim. This innovation provides jeans with shaping benefits. Earlier this year, China-based Advance Denim partnered with The LYCRA Company and Crystal Apparel to launch LYCRA FitSense® Denim, a new stretch option.

This advancement in stretch technology allows designers to tailor the stretch in specific areas of denim garments for improved comfort, shaping, and support. The technology features a patented LYCRA dual-core yarn structure combined with thermo-responsive fibers, woven into the fabric by Advance Denim.

“LYCRA FitSense® Denim is a groundbreaking targeted stretch technology that allows denim designers to create the perfect fit for the wearer, supporting specific body areas such as the tummy, thigh, bum, leg, and waist,” said Mark Ix, director of North American marketing at Advance Denim. “The fiber-to-garment denim solution is subtle and invisible on the fabric and garment, offering limitless design possibilities for brands and designers.”

“It has long been a goal of Advance Denim to produce the future of vintage denim while staying true to denim’s heritage,” said Ix. “LYCRA FitSense® Denim technology is now making that goal a reality, giving consumers a whole new fit experience in their favorite denim styles.”
