During Paris Fashion Week, Paris-based fashion label, Koché debuted an upcycled capsule collection made of unused football jerseys with AC Milan and Puma.
Christelle Kocher, Koché's founder and creative director, recreated unused AC Milan Puma football jerseys for the six-piece limited-edition capsule collection.
Kocher redesigned the football shirts by splicing AC Milan's black and red stripes with repurposed fabric and prints from Koché's prior seasons, resulting in a celebration of sport, heritage, and couture.
Christelle Kocher said that upcycling is a new way to re-imagine fashion while respecting the environment. It was a thrill for him to collaborate with Puma and AC Milan to produce this limited-edition Koché capsule while considering its impact on the Earth.
Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan Chief Revenue Officer, said that they’re excited to be working with Christelle Kocher and PUMA on this great project, which is motivated by shared values such as sustainability, inclusion, innovation, and progressiveness. This collaboration demonstrates the AC Milan brand's adaptability and capacity to have an effect in sectors other than sport, such as fashion and leisure. Moving their brand outside football is a terrific and effective method for them to demonstrate its worthwhile drawing new fans, and doing so with a company like Koché, with whom they share many core principles, makes them even more proud.
Heiko Desens, Puma's global creative director and innovation, said that it's fantastic to see this cooperation come to life between AC Milan, one of the most culturally relevant football clubs, Koché, an up-and-coming fashion brand from Paris, and Puma. With this exquisite upcycling endeavour, they're creating a new benchmark in fashion and athletics. This gorgeous and unexpected Re/Koché aesthetic is shaped by the iconic ACM colourway in combination with those sports and streetwear symbols. This is without a doubt one of his favourite summer fashion pieces.
