Jordan investors show interest to invest in textile industry of Pakistan

Honorary Consul General to Jordan Yousuf Farrukh informed the Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan that Jordan investors were interested to invest in textile industry of Pakistan. Joint ventures would be preferred.

Jordan also desired to see Pakistani investment in textile sector there. They also wanted to import textile products from Pakistan for which purpose a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at TEXPO exhibition, held recently in Pakistan.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan apparised the Jordan delegation about the best investment opportunities available in the textile sector of Sindh. This sector ensures quick and good profit.

Pakistan is 4th cotton producing and third largest country to use it. Also more than 15 million skilled and un-skilled manpower is associated with this industry, said Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan.

The Governor talking to a Jordan delegation at the Governor House, said that Pakistan enjoys unique status in the world for having a complete textile chain from cotton growing to value-added garments.

Operation 'Zarb-i-Azb' the law and order situation in the country has visibly improved due to which now the foreign investors have started showing great interest to invest in Pakistan.
