The Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB) has launched a new 12-month initiative to help apparel manufacturers respond to growing global demands for traceability, low-carbon production and digital reporting.
The project was officially introduced during a kick-off meeting held at İHKİB’s headquarters in Istanbul. Titled “Twin Transition in the Apparel Supply Chain,” the programme is supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) under its 2025 Twin Transition Financial Support Programme.
İHKİB will lead the implementation of the initiative in cooperation with the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). More than 20 companies are participating in the project, alongside representatives from related institutions and international apparel brands.
The programme is designed to provide structured assistance to suppliers by expanding the role of İHKİB’s Digital Transformation Center (DDM). During the project period, the centre will operate as a Digital and Green Transformation Service Point, supporting companies through their transition processes.
As part of the initiative, participating firms will undergo assessments to evaluate their operational readiness and sustainability performance. Based on these findings, tailored transformation roadmaps will be developed. The programme also includes mentorship and advisory services, online training sessions focused on digital and green transformation, and guidance on accessing finance and consultancy support, including opportunities linked to European Union and national funding schemes.
