Hyosung to debut recycled spandex

Fibre manufacturer Hyosung will be presenting an updated collection of its recycled fibres at the upcoming Intertextile Shanghai show (September 25 to 27), including its first innovations in recycled spandex.

It claims its recycled yarns offer the same performance levels as its standard products.

The South Korean group will also show its cooling fibres, mipan regen aqua x nylon and regen askin, and its natural touch polyester cotna fibre. It will also focus on creora Color+, a spandex that provides vibrant colours for nylon.

Marketing director Mike Simko said: “We anticipate changing market dynamics and we continue to develop leading sustainable solutions, such as creora eco-soft spandex, which not only contributes energy saving for sustainability with low heat setting features, but also enables stable production of four-way stretch wovens.”
