Denizli-based Turkish manufacturer Hifyber has launched CombiNano, an advanced nanofibre nonwoven filtration media that combines particulate filtration and gas-phase adsorption within a single structure. The material is designed for use in HVAC systems, data centres, cabin air filtration and demanding industrial environments.
Unlike conventional filtration solutions that depend on electrostatic charges, CombiNano delivers stable, long-term performance through purely mechanical filtration. This approach ensures reliable operation even in high-humidity or chemically aggressive conditions, where charged meltblown media typically lose efficiency.
Traditional carbon filters often rely on electrostatically charged meltblown layers, which can degrade under exposure to moisture and chemicals. In contrast, CombiNano’s nanofibre layer captures fine and submicron particles mechanically from the outset, maintaining consistent filtration efficiency throughout its service life.
Gas-phase filtration is achieved using high-purity activated carbon derived from renewable coconut shells. This carbon features a dense microporous structure optimised for the adsorption of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odours, while its low ash content supports clean operation and stable airflow.
By capturing fine dust before it reaches the carbon layer, the nanofibre structure helps prevent pore clogging. This preserves the carbon’s adsorption capacity over time, extending filter lifespan and maintaining performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
