Luxury resale site, Hardly Ever Worn It (Hewi), has announced a new relationship with Advanced Clothing Solutions (ACS), which will see it add a carbon-neutral delivery service to its offerings.
Hewi's logistics service will now use ozone technology to clean garments through microplastic filters, reducing water pollution and allowing by-products to be recycled into construction bricks.
Tatiana Wolter-Ferguson, Hewi’s CEO, said that they take great pleasure in their service offer and excellent product care - it is what their clients come to them for. They wanted a partner who could join them in fully honoring it, while also providing us with a scalable solution after a period of exponential expansion. ACS is that one-of-a-kind partner and together, they're on schedule to reach net-zero logistical services by 2025.
ACS claims that its resale solution provides a full end-to-end service and that Hewi will have access to its fashion fulfillment center, eco-friendly cleaning and repairs, automated picking, and bespoke packing and shipment services.
Chris Mooney, Chief Revenue Officer at ACS, said that enabling brands to achieve their sustainable and circular fashion ambitions is at the core of the ACS offers. They like to think they are not only extending the lifecycle of an item of clothing and saving it from landfill but that they are at the forefront of the resale revolution.
Mooney added that their custom ACS solution provides Hewi with a full end-to-end resale service, including access to our circular fashion fulfillment facility, eco-friendly cleaning and repairs, automated picking, tailored packaging, and delivery. They’re pleased to be able to fill those holes in the resale process, and they look forward to fruitful and long-term cooperation with Hewi's burgeoning resale business.
