Hellmann’s Canada collaborates with sustainable fashion brand ID.Eight from Italy to unveil a special-edition trainer, ‘1352: Refreshed Sneakers,’ made from food waste materials like corn, mushrooms, apples, and grapes. This initiative aims to raise awareness about food waste in Canada.

The name ‘1352: Refreshed Sneakers’ highlights the average annual food waste cost per Canadian household, amounting to 1,352 Canadian dollars. Harsh Pant, senior brand manager at Hellmann’s Canada, emphasizes the importance of sparking conversations and encouraging consumers to reduce food waste through small actions.

Canadians can participate in a giveaway on the Hellmann’s Canada website to win a pair of ‘1352: Refreshed Sneakers.’ Additionally, for every entry received, Hellmann’s Canada pledges to donate the equivalent of ten meals to Second Harvest, a charitable organization dedicated to food recovery and waste reduction efforts.
