Heimtextil kicks off in Frankfurt

Heimtextil, the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles kicked off on 9 January in Frankfurt with some 2,975 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions attending the trade fair. Speaking at the inaugural press conference, Detlef Braun, CEO of Messe Frankfurt said that Heimtextil is on a growth course for the eighth consecutive year.

The textile interior design is the focus of international attention at the four-day trade fair, where suppliers are presenting their textile products and material solutions in an exclusive setting, aiming specifically at architects, interior decorators, interior designers, project planners and hoteliers.

Martin Auerbach, Managing Director of the Association of the German Home Textiles Manufacturers, pointed out that the diversity of home textiles products, designs and colours made the international trade fair platform for home textiles a trailblazing annual event to start the year

Although the economy over the past year was likely to remain below expectations, “the overall mood in the sector is good.

This year’s theme is ‘The Future is Urban’ considering more than half the world’s population is living in cities. The four-day exhibition explains how urban life is likely to impact living and working environments in the future.

The exhibition features textile and furniture products made of new designs and materials to maintain quality life in an increasingly complex urban world.
Profit from the long-standing expertise of the event, which draws key players and decisionmakers from across the world to Frankfurt every year has become an ideal place to establish and maintain business contacts.
