India's 'leading textile engineering expoâ€™ opened its door to the Indian and International audience on 20 January 2015 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.
The event was inaugurate by Narendra L Shah, past chairman & hon. life member, Diven Dembla, past vice chairman and Bachkaniwala, past chairman & honorary life member of India ITME Society. On the occasion, Shah said, â€œGTTES is a great platform in India & overseas countries to buy and sell their upgraded products which conserves less energy and has high productivity.â€
Mr. Sanjiv Lathia, Chairman, India ITME Society, noted that, â€œThe need of the times and demand from the industry once again gave birth to another exclusive event â€˜Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show-2015â€™ (GTTES-2015)â€.
R Bachkaniwala quoted, â€œthe slowdown in global economy will not deter the Indian textile industry. It will continue and maintain its momentum.â€
With 282 India and foreign exhibitors, GTTES expo covered an area of 11,500 sq. metres earning the distinction of being the largest textile technology event in India after India ITME Expo series.
Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Govt. of India, visited the show and took keen interest in the exhibits from across India and globe. Ambassadors and Consul General from 17 Countries visited the Exhibition proving importance of Role of India in Textile sector & the keen interest GTTES generated internationally especially in potential new markets.
The event was visited by high level government delegation, delegates from Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Korea and from textile dept. , Heavy Industry, Govt. of India and industrial delegation from India and overseas creating wide spread excitement and anticipation amongst exhibitors and industry members.
