Government approves 7 textile parks in Rajasthan

In order to create employment and attract investment, government has approved seven textile parks in Rajasthan under the scheme for integrated textile parks (SITP), said Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister of State for Textile.

Pointing that the textile industry of India is moving in the right direction, he further stated that seven textile parks have been approved with an assistance of Rs 40 crore for each SITP to Rajasthan.

A common effluent treatment plant (CETP) has also given approval for textile industries in Balotara by the Centre and the ministry will also be considering separate projects in Pali, Bhilwara and Sanganer, he said in Vastra-2015 inauguration.

He said, “We have ample of engineers all around us, but we lack skilled manpower like plumber and carpenter. The supporting staff is unavailable in many sectors of industries.”

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said that Bhilwara produces nearly half of the country’s poly viscose suiting as Jaipur is known for readymade garments and apparels.

Besides Bagru and Sanganer, there are other main markets like Banswara, Jodhpur, Pali, Balotra and Kishangarh in Rajasthan, she added.
